Some Story About My Family's Name

GUYEN That's My name

Once upon a time. When I was Child. Almost every day. The people who met me at first time would call my name “Guyen" as the other though it was strange. In javanese languange my name “Guyen” was became different thing like es guyen, nasi guyen, tak guyen banyu and many other strange things. Because of that, many people consider that I was ridiculous. Many people deride my name. My name is became tranding topic in my class, my town and other place where I was stay. I told to my mom “why the people always deride my last name. I have bad reputed about my name” My mother just adviced me to be patient. She could not much help, because my Mom is javanesee,  she doesn’t have more knowledges and contributions about my own Family Name because I got my last name from my father family. I didn’t want the people deride me anymore. So, I act. I brief my last name on every column of name in all my book. It should not wrote “Kiki Amalia Guyen” but I wrote “Kiki Amalia G” for my full name.

Someday, I shocked. I saw my Uncle Eddy Guyen, He was founded my book and read my name wich inscribed abbreviated my family name. I though he was felt angry, but not. He smile to me. He ask me to sat on the chair, ask about my sadness than he told some story about that legendary name. History, romance and struggle.  He tell me about the people in europe habit and he said “Every people called your family name because they are reverence to you. Why you embarrassed?” after hear that, I know that how impressed my name. I was not embarrased anymore and when the people asked me to introduce my self I am not forget to said my family’s name too.
